After watching and reading President Obama’s back to school speech, students talked and wrote about the main ideas in the speech. They then went back to the speech and chose the three lines or sentences that they thought were most significant to the speech and explained their thinking. Next, students analyze the speech for the IBO Learner Profile characteristics.
